About Deane Jewett

Before he could even drive a car, Deane Jewett was a great auto mechanic.

In fact, that’s how he paid the bills for more than 15 years. But one day, when he and his wife decided it was time to start a family, they reached another decision. “We decided it was also time for me to look for a career change, look to do something a little different,” Deane recalls. “That brought me to an interview with Liberty National.”

Deane’s first two years at Liberty brought a series of rapid-fire promotions for the Charleston, South Carolina native. Starting as an Agent, he quickly progressed to Agency Director, then Agency Owner, again, all in less than two years.

Through his sprint up the ladder, Deane learned something invaluable about careers with Liberty National. “You’ll get out of this career what you’re willing to put in,” he says. “Activity equals success.”

And if activity equals success, it’s safe to say Deane has been very active. In addition to making Torch Club, Deane has dramatically improved the lives’ of his family throughout his time at Liberty National.

“I’ve been not only able to provide my family with the things they need to survive, but also many of the things they want,” Deane says. “I only wish I would’ve started with Liberty earlier in my life.”

Deane is quick to suggest the Liberty National career route to anyone with a drive and passion for helping others. “I learned very early on just how important what we do really is,” Deane says. “We help families to survive financially.”

When Deane isn’t manning his office, he loves to spend time kayaking with his wife and daughter – the reason he came to Liberty National in the first place.

Being a poster-boy of sorts for Liberty National’s opportunity for advancements, Deane is eager to bring other Agents aboard and help them begin a prosperous career with Liberty – much like his own.
