About Vickie Ketron

After spending years in the fast food, factory, and retail industries struggling to pay bills, Vickie Ketron was beaming with enthusiasm in the moments leading up to her interview with Liberty National Life Insurance Company. However, it wasn’t until her interviewer uttered one particular phrase that Vickie’s excitement reached a boiling point.

The phrase? “Get paid what you’re worth and earn according to your efforts,” Vickie recalls. “So I joined the Company,” she says, “and I’ve made more money here than I could’ve ever imagined.”

A little more than four years later and following a stint as Rookie Agency Owner in 2010, Vickie – who is quick to point out has no college education – found herself the Liberty National Agency Owner in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Money aside, her Liberty National career has been infinitely more rewarding than previous jobs she’s held – so much so she claims “the Company has changed my life,” a sentiment echoed by many other Liberty National Agency Owners. “I don’t worry about paying my bills anymore,” she adds.

Vickie is an active participant in the local American Cancer Society Relay for Life, as well as the Knoxville Second Harvest Food Bank. Balance that with her love of hiking and travel, and Vickie keeps pretty busy these days … but clearly not too busy to protect her community day in and day out.

“The first policy I sold was a cancer policy to a couple who lived in my neighborhood,” Vickie recalls. “One month later the wife called me devastated, saying her husband had been diagnosed with lung cancer.” Five years later, Vickie is now an Agency Owner, and her neighbor is cancer free. “But to this day,” Vickie says, “she tells me if they hadn’t had that policy, they would have lost everything they had.”

It’s been a ride for Vickie Ketron, one she claims she would’ve started much earlier if given the chance. But now that she’s here, she’s in it for the finish and eager to help others hop aboard.
